Linen of Words: “songs and stories from the Appalachian mountains”

Linen of Words, a new music collective, presents a live concert featuring songs and stories rooted deeply in the Appalachian mountains. As a native to this region who learned songs sitting knee-to-knee from elders in her community, Annick Odom (singer/composer/clarinetist), is joined by Julie Hasfjord (voice), Leah Plave (cello), Tiziano Teodori (flute/electronics). This unique event offers a new take on folk art kept alive by oral tradition.
